Benefits of the Multiple State Approach

MedChi is one of several state medical societies that have joined together in this survey effort. We will be able to compare your input and satisfaction with those of physicians in other state medical societies. And you will be able to compare your own information with that of other physicians here and elsewhere – relating to reimbursement rates, practice costs/expenses, and physician compensation. Because of this multi-state approach, some of the questions may not apply to MedChi and our state – on those questions please select “n/a” as your answer.

The surveys provide for simple self-registration – you select your own username and password. Please complete (or update) your Member Profile first. You may then take any of the available surveys. We will be sharing with you information relating to the results of the surveys – and you will be able to directly access the data and run your own custom, dynamic reports relating to reimbursement, practice costs/expenses, and physician compensation. We will notify you once sufficient data is available. The more participation we get, the faster you will be able to access this valuable information.

Physician Reimbursement and Practice Costs/Expenses
Practice/Office Managers may participate (it is important, in your Member Profile, to indicate to us who the right person is to fill out these two surveys for all physicians in your practice). The reports will be available on-line with a dynamic format in real-time. The survey meets Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission anti-trust guidelines. You will be able to compare your own data based on criteria you select with that of other physicians here and in other participating states.

Member Opinion Survey – This is an Internal Look at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society.
It takes approximately ten minutes to complete.  First, you must complete the Member Profile. The profile will take approximately five minutes.

Physician Compensation - Would you like to know what the average reimbursement is for a certain code?  Would you like to be able to judge your reimbursement level against the mean for reimbursements in Maryland?  Would you like to know if your income is what it should be for your specialty?   MedChi also needs the same information when we lobby in Annapolis and before the regulatory bodies of the State.  Help us provide you this information by filling in the survey
